According to Wikipedia, the band Gin Blossoms took their name from the caption of a WC Fields photo that read, "WC Fields with gin blossoms" refering to the red blotches on his nose.

HG was getting pretty close, and after that I knew it was all up to DangrDafne to figure it out because I know she likes music and I guessed that she liked the Gin Blossoms. It's a similar genre to other music I know she likes from the 90s.
