Santa Tried to Pick me Up Once...

When I was of a legal drinking age (or not)  it was typical for me and "Alice" and friends and boyfriends or FwithBs to go to a liquor store on Saturday nights to get some stuff for predrinking before going out to clubs or bars.

One such Saturday night while in the liquor store, a seemingly sweet little old man probably in his 70s with a white beard, glasses, and a cane asked me to reach up to get him a bottle of something off a shelf that was higher than him, which was probably the shelf most of us would be eyelevel with. He had that real twinkly eyes Santa thing going on so out of the goodness of my heart I helped him.

Then he asked if I wanted to go home with him and share the bottle with him.

OH. MY. GOD.

I don't know how I kept from laughing, but I politely declined his offer and he replied,

"That's a shame. You and I could have had a REAL GOOD time tonight."

From there on out he was referred to as Santa and we used to see him around town here and there, even in the bars. Sometimes we used to look for him. Sometimes it was a way to entice some of our friends out to the bar. "Come have a few drinks with us. Santa's here!"

Poor shriveled up Santa. He was just a lonely little perv.

But I tell ya, I've got a soft spot for our favorite guy in a red suit with twinkling eyes...

And he's got rosey cheeks...

She didn't confirm it, but I suspect she would be as excited to see Kellan's shirtless arm wrestle as that Shaun Robinson is to put her fingers through Rob's hair every time she sees him.

On a personal note, I wanted to tell you all that my braTTy self was nothing more than drippy sap as I cried into Mr. ATP's shoulder while mini sat on Santa Claus' lap and he chatted with her about what a good girl she has been this year. He was the best Santa Claus I've ever seen. He told her thank you for the treats she left out for him last year and asked if she would leave him more this year. It sounds like mini has made it on Santa's Nice List, which is more than I can say for the likes of most of you.

Yep, I'm probably talking about YOU!!!
