Thank you for those long hours you spent in the bunker to produce this story of yours that has been most epic. You've significantly contributed to the vernacular of this fandom (laters, baby), given us a fondness for architecture (Escala), instilled an appreciation for various forms of transport (from elevators to Echo Charlie), cultivated an interest in interior design (designing and decorating a playroom), and of course stirred a desire for spending quality time with Fifty Shades.

PS: Your story also inspired so much creativity within the fandom--videos, banners, blinkies, photos/manips with quotes, t-shirts, songs, car stickers, etc., etc.

Yours,
Twilight-to-MotU Fans & their Inner Goddesses, Inc.

With the final chapter of 'Master of the Universe II' posted on Icy's site http://www.50shades.com/ we have the conclusion of a story that has been one of the biggest contributions to the world of Twilight fanfiction.

Whenever I read the end of a book or story, I always find myself wanting to revisit the beginning. So with the ending of 'Master of the Universe II' I thought it would be great to hear your thoughts about your initial reactions to this story.

Some of my initial reactions were that I liked the English tidbits that were part of this story (the verbage, tea and food choices), loved the email banter, did somersaults over the inner goddess/subconscious personifications, and actually felt sorry for Jacob and Mike Newton. I especially loved the way Icy drew upon details from Twilight and incorporated them into her story. And the first kiss in the elevator definitely remains one of the hotttest first kisses in Fanfiction!!!

But there was a point when I hesitated and thought, Okay this story might not be right for me. Edward was just so intense---flying all the way to Florida to keep tabs on Bella creeped me out. Then, it was the relationship that Edward proposed to Bella and the subsequent paperwork that made me question if I wanted to continue reading the story. I read through that whole contract wondering where the hell the story was going--afraid it was going to be too dark of a place.

But then I decided, "Oh fuck the paperwork!" and kept reading!
So glad I did!

This isn't the first time we've celebrated Fifty on this blog. Last November, Fifty graced the cover of our first issue of TwiPeople per the insistence of the graphics dept (aka 17ForeverLisa)! You can read that post here.

So today I'm really glad to take the opportunity to join in to acknowledge what a huge contribution Icy has made to the fandom and wish her well with the book sales of this story, which was given a name for outside the fandom as, "Fifty Shades of Grey."

And did you happen to know that Icy is friends with S.R., who wrote The University of Edward Masen (another HUGE contribution to FF and one of my FAVs!!!!) which is now being published under the name "Gabriel's Inferno."  SR's book went on sale through Omnific Publishing and can be ordered via this link: http://bit.ly/lQMlvY

Thanks to TwiKiwi (Amy) for putting together this tribute to celebrate the completion and publication of this story and inviting me to join!
