Oh Kristen, Was There Any Reason for you to Sound So Jealous?

So once again I was watching Twilight with the commentary on and THIS time something else clicked! A little more Robsten foundation. You can accuse me of reading too much into stuff, I don't care but I think you are going to want to run and get your Twilight movie put it in the DVD player set up the ON feature for commentary and fast forward to the first diner scene when Rob is talking about the GARDENBURGER!

He refers to Hayley from Paramore talking about the veggie burger and it reminded me of the exact youtube video I saw a while back when he had this conversation. Rob flirts and acts smitten-as-a-kitten interviews Hayley and Hayley questions him seeimingly just as crushing on taken with Rob as he talks about music and his role in Twilight.

So what is the commentary Rob says in Twilight? It doesn't matter! What matters is what Kristen says and the inflection she uses. Here it is with my added commentary, of course! But be sure to watch as I can't mimic that TONE of hers in words in response to Rob merely bringing up the fact that he was just talking with Hayley recently and was very innocently eyefucking talking  to Hayley about what a gardenburger was...

"(Oh really) And what did (that little ___) she have to say about gardenburgers?" -Kristen
Dearest Rob, You screwed up here. Don't you know talking about food with other girls sets yourself up for jealousy and sleeping on the couch?

Oh Kristen! Was there a real reason to sound a little jealous?

Maybe it took putting a little jealousy out there to your guy to actually help him to realize he needs to stop acting like a boy, which is all he's known since birth (there is no real automatic "off" switch) and instead it got him to reaffirm his committment to the relationship with the one person he truly wanted to be with, yes you Kristen!
Perhaps it was a catalyst to a relationship baptism, of sorts.
How did we get here? I think I knoooooowwwwww!

Happy Birthday LivingwithEdward!
She had one hell of a kickass, action-packed surprise party with the Cullens. Click her name above to go check it out!

I'm in need of some road trip music! Of course, Twilight music will always be on in my car but I need to find some other music that just says nice weather and it's a good time to get the hell out of Dodge!

"Life is a Highway" Tom Cochran (the original!)
from there I've just got nothing!

Emmett is waiting in the comments for your road trip song recommendations! I would not let him down seeing as how he has a butcher knife in his hand and all!

You Can't Twi-Everything!

I've noticed how corny you we all are! We try to Twilight up everything by sticking a Twi- in front of it! Let it not be said that Twilight fans are not the most creative chickadees (and chickadics?) out there especially the Twi-bloggy goddesses! Oops like a Britney song I went and did it again!

But some things were already Twied long before Twilight came along:

"If I could eat at all it would be these!" -Edward

"OH YEAH" It's an EDWARD TWIX FIX!!!

Bella and Twix--James' kind of SNACK!
Okay so Twiggy probably wasn't eating Twinkies or Twix, but maybe she's a natural-born fangirl!

And of course the original Twilight cast already figured this one out:

Twizzlers and Rob making Kristen's mouth HAPPY!

But sadly, you can't Twi- everything! "Believe me, I've twied!"

EXHIBIT A...

                             (picture from wireimage.com)
           Mr. Twig?

uhhhh, yeah, that sooooooo doesn't work!

Hey MusingBella I hope you show up today because I wanted to let you know that this weekend we discovered a leak in our bathroom. Home ownership can so suck! So I just wanted to let you know that now we are in the same boat. It looks like this one! Thanks for picking me up...

Oh, and I rented Little Ashes. I have not seen it all the way through yet so I will reserve commentary for a later time. I guess I didn't make it all the way through yet because I was freeze framing and going frame by frame on the nekkidness because like my daughter says, "And that's how we do it!"

Hang Twight chickadees until tomorrow!

What other things just would not work out with the Twi-??

Interview with a Vampire Writer; "Random Angels" The Best Fanfiction You Haven't Read!

"Tell me what you want, Bella!" he demanded. He was pleading like he was fighting against himself.

I wanted his body, his mind, his touch, his tormented soul. I wanted his laughter and his tears and that damn crooked smile. I wanted his music and his every breath, his heartbeat, his blood… his life. Another slow wave pulsed through my insides when his hand slowly circled above my sex, never touching, using our connection to drag me to the very edge of insanity, I should have stopped, I should have made him stop… but it felt so good. This was insane. My fingers found the tree and dug deep into the bark.

"Tell me," he demanded again, achingly close, making my whole body shudder with pleasure. I couldn't help it, I wanted him, I needed him in the most basic way. I was out of my mind, driven crazy by lust, his smell and his long fingers. I needed them on me, in me.

"I want you," I whimpered, barely recognizing my desire laden voice.

--Excerpt from “Random Angels”
One of the Best Fanfiction Stories You Haven't Read.
Whew! Take a breath there chickadees. Recovered? Today's post will be LONG but worth every word I promise, mostly because they are not all MY WORDS today!! Keep reading for my review of this cool fanfiction followed by a great interview with the story's author, Eila.

When I read fanfiction, I enjoy the immediate in-your-face-and-other-places smutty stories just as much as the rest of the Twi-whores, but I also really enjoy a well-developed, well-thought out story that is full of mystery, intrigue, suspense, angst and, of course, the highly-anticipated possibility of a Bella and Edward romance with well-placed lemony goodness!

An absolute gem of a story I found that meets and exceeds above criteria is “Random Angels” by Eila (beta’d by revrag.) In her story, Bella is a fairly newish vampire living in Forks with the Cullens and Edward is a mysterious, strong-willed, good-humored, tempting, well-built, hawt, regular bad boy who comes to Forks to live with his uncle Charlie.

This is NOT a mere retelling of Twilight with the roles switched like others have tried to do in fanfictionland. This is a very unique story with carefully placed quotes taken from the book and movie that allow enough familiarity to make the reader feel a sense of being propelled through the story, chapter after chapter, much like you probably felt the first time you read the original Twilight. This story has twists, turns, suspense, and drama that will leave you wanting more and more at the end of each chapter whether there is an intentional cliffie written in or not!

The detailed backstories of both Bella and Edward are what set this story apart from the original Twilight but the rest of the Cullens and your favorite Twilight settings are present and very true to form--so much so, that you will instantly revisit the Forks High School campus, easily maneuver your way up the stairs to the third floor of the Cullen’s house, and be ready to spill secrets in the meadow.

Eila’s writing is descriptive, witty, smart, and mature. Plus she interlaces her story with general pop culture references that will make you giggle. To her credit, she doesn’t over-tell the details of the characters we already know.

I was super excited Eila responded to my PM and agreed to an interview! She's a doll!

Interview with a Vampire Writer, Eila
(wth my added commentary!)
1. First thing is first, are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Team Edward all the way. (And it shows in her fanfic!)

2. Any writing background before fanfiction?
I'm been writing in some form or another since I was very young. I have several full length manuscripts finished and a couple of scripts.I had read the Twilight books long before the film came out and I came into fanfiction very much by accident when I saw a video on Youtube for "Wide Awake." After I discovered several more wonderful stories I decided to try writing one for myself.

3. Why a story about Bella as a vampire?
I was interested in what the differences would be in the dynamics of the relationship. In Twilight as well as being the vampire and the stronger in all physical aspects, Edward also takes a very old fashioned male role of being the the protector and the provider, whereas Bella is the weaker one, the gentle female nurturer. I wanted to see what would change if Edward was no longer the one with the phyical strength, stamina, and longivity. What would happen if Bella didn't need his protection or if it was him that needed hers instead. How would Edward deal with with being the damsel in distress and would he make the same potentionally life threatening choices Bella made in Twilight and New Moon?

4. Did you plan out the whole story before you wrote it or have you developed the story as you've gone?
It started as points, then a brief outline, then a full length hand written fiction. After that I started typing and some things have changed, there are so many twists and nonapparent connections that there can't be too many deviations from the original idea.

5. What is your writing process?
I write by hand, the only thing I've ever developed and typed from only and idea was a one shot, "Sins of the Father."

6. Which character has been your favorite to write? Why?
Edward. He has so much going on and his whole life has changed so much but he tackles it all head on with a single-minded determination. He knows what he wants and he's prepared to do whatever he has to do to achieve it. He knows, even as a human, he is not powerless. He is capable of being devious if the situation calls for it and yet he is loyal and thoughtful. He's knows exactly how far he can push Bella and he doesn't love half way. For Edward everything is all or nothing, no excuses and no half ways.

7. After Bella and Edward, who is your favorite character in the series?
Emmett, he doesn't have much of a back story so I think I've allowed my imagination to run wild reading the series. (Me Too!)

8. What part of the upcoming Eclipse movie are you most excited to see? What part of the book do you hope makes it into the movie?
The leg hitch. The leg hitch. (She's definitely a total fangirl, isn't she?)

9. What are your top 3 favorite fanfictions that you have read?
At the moment a WIP by my friend, "The good, the bad and the beautiful" by Mamma4ever is my number 1. There are only a few chapters up but I have been privileged to read much further along and this story KILLS me. The things that happen break my heart and make me laugh. I find myself sitting in my car or walking aorund the house thinking about it.

The Best Man by Brattyvamp, I was lucky that I started reading this the day before it was finished so there was no waiting but I do remember having to stop several times to compose myself. (Eila also made a killer video for this. See it here!)

There are so many amazing fictions to pick from. I could pick 100. I'm going to go with "Home at Last," a one shot by huxumhunnie311. It's a Jasper fic and that and "The Best Man" made me love Jasper.

10. When "Random Angels" is finished are you planning on doing another fanfiction story? Any clues to what it is about?
I'm working on some original fiction and I intend to spend some more time with that but I've already started on a fiction called "The Hourglass." Bella moves to Chicigo and becomes obsessed with a comdemned and apparently haunted house.

1. What is your favorite scene in "Random Angels?"
Bella finally discovering Edward's secret and the confrontation between them in his bedroom. (That's a good one but its not my favorite..umm can you say Happy New Year's?)

12. Favorite line from the whole SAGA series?
“You are safe inside your mind. No one can touch you there.” -Alice, Eclipse.

13.  Rob calls you up and tells you he has read your story and really likes it. He suggests meeting you for coffee to talk about it, meeting you at a pub to discuss it over beers, or just coming to your house to re-enact a scene. Which do you choose?
The pub over a guinness in Dublin would be lovely. (Such restraint! Then again who knows where that would lead)

Thank you again to Eila for being so responsive to this idea!! I hope everyone will check out her story!

A big welcome to anyone who lands here today by way of already knowing Eila and this story, too!

Enjoy and may you fall in love with this Edward, errr..I mean story! Feel free to show some fanfictionlovin' support in the comments! -TT

What's Your Most Overused Twilight Catchphrase

AOL has an article posted called The 10 Most Overused Movie Catchphrases with Jerry McGuire having 2 on the list and the article's writer sneaking in a third line from that movie. Can you guess them without peaking?

The list is fairly well representative of lines I have heard used amongst friends and coworkers over the years, though not representative of my own personal overused lines, which most come from chick flicks like Clueless, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, etc. but that of course was all pre-Twilight.

Now I find myself overusing Twilight lines both intentionally and unintentionally.

Intentionally, I like to throw out a "Be Safe!" and "Like I said" here and there.

Unintentionally I find myself saying, "Definitely not" the way Bella says it in response to Jacob asking her if she is surfing. It is not curt just full of the same definitiveness and humor.

And then there is the very purposeful use of delivery associated with the "Mike Newton seduction?"
The who-what??? **giggle** Have you tried this?

Distract male away from sports game, use low, kitten voice and coy smile
"So listen....I wanted to ask you.... if, you know...well I see you are busy.... but you wanna go... to bed**...with me?

So what do you think?
 **kiss**
Wanna go?
 *kiss*kiss*
to bed **
*kiss*kiss*kiss*
with me?"
*kiss/lick/suck*

**word substitutions completely allowable
Works like a charm! Guess Mike Newton was good for something!

What lines do you find yourself using intentionally or unintentionally from Twilight or New Moon?

"I'll Be Back!" -TT

I "Cotton" to Rob!

One of the things I love about chatting with people from different areas of the United States, and well this Twilight thing has taken me international now, is hearing different phrases of speech and expressions slipped in during conversation.

Just last week Jelena from Twiholic told me this blog was exactly "her cup of tea." What a lovely compliment! And I actually know what that expression means!

Recently I was emailing a few of my wonderful mentors/ friends in TEXAS who are not Twilight fans (not yet, anyway!) and I had gotten into the habit of including a picture of Rob on the bottom of my email. I usually made a little note saying how hot he was because I like to share!

One of said mentors, who is really one of the spunkiest young-at-heart, Maxine-loving women I have ever met wrote me back saying,

"I don't really "cotton" to that guy in the pic, but there are CERTAIN things about him that remind me of a very young Elvis, and I definitely liked him!"

Err....what?

Okay so I admit I'm a little green and since entering Twitardia and then finding fanfiction my mind has definitely reserved itself a room in a sleazy Motel Gutter 8.

Ms. Mentor-like and I have never met in real life but I know she's a real pisser. So I'm thinking does that mean what I think it means?

Did she just tell me that the picture of Rob isn't enough to cream her panties to?

So I asked her, and apparently it is just an expression. I pulled my mind up from the gutter smutshack long enough to decide yes I guess I have heard that expression before just not in terms of Rob! She also went on to tell me a lovely Texan expression that when something is done easily they say, "It was like putting socks on a rooster!"  (Hopefully I got that right because it sounds backwards to me!)

So I got another one from MamaTwied (not my mama!) who said that back in her day they would have said, "That boy hangs the moon for me!" I looooooooooooooooove that! Isn't that cute?

With texting and twitter I wonder if all these expressions will eventually be lost? Who has time to text out long expressions? We speak short and to the point now (well not me, I'm freakkin loquacious!) but what do we say about our guys? Anything centered around "hot!"

So tell me, do you have any of those expressions that you grew up with that would fit in? Ask your mom! Ask your grandma! Like I said, I love to hear new (old) phrases like that and I might surely use them because there are only so many variations of HAWT and HOT to use for Rob that I already feel like I'm running out!

Yeah Rob, you are exactly my cup of tea, you hang the moon and the stars for me, and OH HOLY HAWTNESS YES I "cotton" to you!
Meet you in our usual room at the Sleazy Motel Gutter 8!

***Love to my Texan chickadees*** -TT

Rob and Kristen: Have you ever been lost in THAT moment?

I watched Twilight before I read the books. And I try to treat the two of them separately and give them credit for what they are worth apart from each other--wishing the two could have been more similar but still giving credit to the scenes that I liked that were different.

In the movie I like the cafeteria scene for the apple, but more so I love when Edward smiles after Bella invites him to the beach. To me, it is the equivalent of Midnight Sun with him realizing that "yes, Bella could like him too."

The hospital scene just annoyed me though. I liked the book version so much better. And hello, Edward tells her that he loves her in it. The worst part of the hospital scene in the movie though is Kristen's acting. Sorry :(
I can watch that scene now, but it took a long time of me skipping past it. I couldn't believe it was in the movie that way, especially since I had thought everyone did a great job up until that point. No really, I did! I mean obviously the kissing was great, though I think Rob could probably kiss his own knee and make it look really hot!

But that hospital scene, oh man was harsh to watch. It is better for me now.

Thankfully, we make it to the prom scene, specifically the gazebo scene, and Kristen pulled off something so freakkin' brilliant that I will always give her (and Rob) the utmost credit for...

She perfectly executed an emotion that I distinctly remember feeling when I was young and first dating Mr. AnTwi-Pattz. That look on her face that says pure longing, feeling so caught up in the moment, feeling like she never wanted the moment to end, and feeling like she never, ever wanted to have to leave him. A feeling so strong that you almost want to cry. Sappy? Yes. Romantic? Yes, knowing it is a moment you had but can't get back everyday and not in a fallen out of love way, it is just one of those things that happens when you are first caught up in a new love.

So after learning more about Rob and Kristen I realized that there she stood staring into his big, beautiful (contact-hidden) green blue eyes completely drunk on RPattz smittenness and she must have had those similar strong emotions to achieve that look on her face that enhanced her "acting" at that very moment.

So take another look at this scene and tell me if it can't be summed up in one word. Incidentally, in my mind I hear that one word being said the same way I read Edward saying "Renesme" in a voice of discovery, surprise, and amazement after the delivery.

"Robsten!"

Bella and Edward aside, if you were Kristen wouldn't you have gotten really lost in that moment? Maybe completely lost in Rob's eyes?
Did you see that look Jacob Black? Were you lurking in the trees still that night and watched how Bella looked at Edward? Did you see how Edward kissed her? He didn't need to speak in some wolfy language. He was speaking the universal language of love! That's why it will always be him!!! Sorry pup!

One day while watching the prom scene the sappy, romantic side of me was just crushing on this movie and I like totally, oh my Gawd put this song to it, because like wow, it is a totally awesome 80s song!
As luck would have it, I found this on youtube, so I had to do this!
I say sorry now!

Look to your left. Look to your right. Nobody's around? Good!
Then feel free to sing if you know the words!

Fun fact: Debbie Gibson's perfume Electric Youth smells exactly like Britney Spear's Curious.

Paging Doctor Rob, Paging Doctor Who?

Well I just might need a doctor soon if I catch this Jacksonitis bug, but Doctor Who?

I was cracking up when I came across this little article for which Rob was interviewed prior to the release of Twilight. Obviously, at the time, he didn't know Twilight was going to hit the way it did. In the article he says he would be interested in taking over the role of Doctor Who when the current actor's turn ends in 2010.

I'll give you a minute to pick yourself up off the floor and stop laughing.

Guess what Rob? That's one dream you need to let go of, at least for now! I don't think Doctor Who has ever been hawt, no need to start now. You and your hawtness are obviously destined for greater roles!

I was subjected to tortured by enough episodes by an older brother during the years we were still a one-tv, no cable, household while growing up that I know about a spinning red call box time travel machine and the Tardis. Guess what? I didn't get it! The only Doctor I ever liked was the guy with curly hair and the scarf. But you know what? I'm surely not going to knock "Doctor Who" cult fans now. How could I? I'm definitely a Twilight cult fan! So cult fans of "Doctor Who," "Star Wars," "Star Trek," or whatever else let me just say, hey "I get it" now! But as far as the role of the Doctor Who... No! No! No! You cannot have Rob.

Crushed red velvet?
                                                                               picture from imdb.com
Sure Rob can totally pull that off!

                                                    picture from newmoonmovie.org
See? Pulled off.

Now Rob, if you want to be a Doctor, I feel it would be beneficial to give you a proper name to answer the question of "Doctor Who?" So let's do that, shall we?

I'm still happy about Patrick Dempsey getting a major second chance in Hollywood, so how about we find you a fitting title all Grey's Anatomy style?

I'm not a real doctor, but I could play one in a movie, on tv, in fanfiction, or in your dreams.

So how about...

Dr. McTeamE?

Dr. McSeeMeNaked?

Dr. McCreamyurpantiesforme?

Deep breath in! Say "Ahhhhhhhh!" Lean back!
Give me some better titles chickadees. I know you've got it in ya!!!

***Special thanks to itsjustme over at Robmusement for letting me borrow her cool Docward picture! Her devotion to Rob is awe-inspiring and she's hysterical! If it were down to just me and her in position for Rob, I think I would just step aside and wave her on to him.
