My eCLIPSe Twifecta: Rob/Edward/Robward

I have a few more thoughts on the movie based solely on that terrific trio, that tremendous Twifecta that is Rob/Edward/Robward. Yeah this will be long, but when it comes to Rob, is long a bad thing?

So I hope you enjoy seeing Rob/Edward/Robward in Eclipse through my eyes!

(Ahh that's a vision. No retinal scans for identity purposes, please!)
I spy the Twifecta in the meadow looking hawt like Rob, gentle like Edward, and in the bright outside setting without the heavy caked on makeup and lipstick looking perfectly Robward!!!

I only have eyes for Robward!
Since we are already in the area of eyes, first let me say how much emotion he conveys through those pretty little pupils of his, even with contacts in. When he gave Bella the heart charm were his eyes not smiling with satisfaction? And when he shows up at Bella's to tell her how worried he was were his eyes not burning with fury and concern?

So yeah yeah you knew all that, but have you ever noticed Rob's eyelashes?
I guess in my attempt to not to be too distracted by the muttonchops, I found a whole new part of Rob to smile about! He has these beautifully, long, natural eyelashes, and for a guy, it still added to his overall appeal. If you missed it, I think it was most evident when he was telling Carlisle about how Aro wanted him and Alice to join them.

Robward's Voice: Weapon of Choice
We already knew how Rob's look can range anywhere from adorable to f*ckhawt but I got a little schooled in how versatile his voice is going from innocent to seductive. I guess I knew subconsciously. When I first saw the scene from "The Summer House" on youtube he was using this breathy voice with the sexy accent to say "I can hear your heartbeat" I'm pretty sure the only way I could describe what I heard accurately was being voicef*cked.
Yes!
I
said
voicef*cked.
And you can go voicef*ck yourself (by clicking here). Heee heeee I mean that nicely! Gahh, I watch that and think man I could so easily change my name to "Jane" in a heartbeat!!! He's never said "Bella" that way!! Or Ally!! Or my name!!!
Still, that in no way prepared me for his Eclipse tones. So here's my rundown of so many of his different tones and how he used his voice and various tones like a weapon of mass panty destruction!!!!

Take that TONE with me, please!

I'm an utter fool so in love with you I can't see straight tone:
"Marry me. Marry me. Just...marry me."
(And Stephenie Meyer's most favorite line to use in her book '...washed over me" comes to mind because, yeah, all tingles of tingles washed over me when I heard him say this. Bella are you "tone deaf" say yes for goddsakes!!!)

Respectful tone:
"No, I'm just dropping her off."
(Be as rude as you want Charlie, Edward is still going to show you some respect.)

Innocent, sweet, light manipulative tone:
"Bella, my parents wanted me to remind you about the plane tickets they gave you for your birthday."
(I almost could not believe how he pulled this off! I was thinking, 'holy sh*t forget Edward's 'everything about me invites you in, my voice, my scent...Rob could use that voice on me and I would definitely be dazzled, glamored, enamored, and rendered unaccountable for my actions!!!)

Hurt and accussatory tone:
"You goin' down to that reservation?"
(I still haven't put my finger on it, but there is something about how he says this that reminds me of something else--like another more classic actor in an old Western movie or older classic Hollywood movie. If you know what I mean and have a suggestion to offer up let me know in the comments. But there was just something about his voice here that transcended the movie for me.)

Angry, back the f*ck off tone:
"IF YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAINST HER WILL AGAIN..."
(And the needle on the uterus compass just pointed to Rob!)

{stolen from 17FL)

Hesitant about it, but I'm so afraid of losing you, I'm going to swallow my pride tone:
"It means more protection for you."
(If that's not love then I don't know what is!)

Nervous, but I'm so desperately head-over-heels in love with you, and where my body physically lacks a racing heartbeat in reaction to the very thought of you it makes up in my pants tone:
"Anything."
(And this is what causes TT to sigh and wrap her arm across herself to hold all her bits and pieces in place as she thinks she would be able to reply with some words in her head but is instead rendered speechless. Let it be known, this is my FAVORITE line from the movie. And it is getting programmed into my Roblerward. As well as him saying "Would you do me."  Click here if you don't know what that is.)

Believe me, I want to tone:
"Believe me, I want to."
(The words and the tone are synonymous!)

I'm letting down my walls just enough to go from natural born enemies to frenemies status tone:
"I tried. I left. I don't want that for her. I never wanted that. I'm glad you're here. There are no words, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone."
(Much more respect than Jacob Black deserved. As nice as Edward was to him, Jacob still acted like a prick. So tell me again Jacob Black about your flesh, bone and heartbeat because  Edward's actions and dialogue were FAR from sounding cold and heartless, which is more than I can say for you!!!!)

I believe you, and I love you too much to let you know if I was hurt or not by that kiss I just had to relive through the thoughts of the dog tone:
"I know."
(I'm with miraclebabe1 here, they should have written in how Edward knew how Jacob was plotting that little kiss.)

Trying to appeal to reason and keep things from getting too ugly tone:
"Riley listen to me."

followed by...

Commanding protective, taunting, let's FINISH this tone:
"You won't get another chance like this!"

Remember in my review of New Moon I said there was one scene that matched up perfectly to how I imagined it in the book--Bella running through the plaza and reaching Edward because I felt all the same emotions of desperation in getting to Edward in time--well this was the scene for me in Eclipse. Rob carried off the dialogue here almost exactly like how I read it (the only difference is my imagination has less hint of his natural accent) but Rob expressed those words here first trying to reason with Riley maybe even dazzle him (can one vampire dazzle another?) and then literally going for the kill with Victoria by baiting her with the details of James into staying to fight so he could finish her off. All that confidence and command he exuded in his voice with that tone of his, holy FIFTY SHADES I was thinking of other commands I'd like to hear out of Rob!!! If I was Victoria I'd of had a last minute decision of wanting to attack him in a different way!!

Sweet Emotional Edward

My Bella
Rob brought to life for us what we would have never seen in the books because they were from Bella's POV.
After he kisses her forehead and holds her close to him, he smiles to himself  expressing Edward's own desire and anticipation of having Bella with him forever as a vampire--unspoken words from the soul he thinks he doesn't have.
That.
Was.
 Magical.
And my heart melts into a puddle on the movie theater floor.

An Extraordinary Honor
The first couple of times I saw the movie I realized I was a little less there for the story because...meh, I already know the story... and more there to soak up the Rob. So after trying to wade through the falling wig hair, a dimmly set room, and too-much-plaid just to see some jawporn and exposed chest of ROB, I got completely yanked back into the story with the proposal speech and all I could see and hear was book Edward.
*sigh*

Collection of Kisses

#1: the meadow compromise: Edward's seduction
Loved those distraction kisses and how Edward tries to seduce her into saying that she'll comitt herself to him forever. My God he's so in love with Bella here he can't even think straight! You wouldn't have had to ask me beyond New Moon Robward!

#2 the borderline reminder: Edward marks his territory
So he didn't exactly lift his leg and pee on her but the kiss was definitely twofold--a silent "she is mine" warning to Jacob Black leaving some of his unpleasant-only-to-the-wolves vampire scent on Bella and a little something, something to remind Bella he was coming back for her.

#3 Bella's insecurities: Edward ressures Bella
During the my Bella scene: Short, simple, sweet, innocent kiss in Edward's attempt to reassure Bella that she won't be different. Then he moves up to her forehead to kiss her--classic Edward move.

#4 Bella's seduction: Edward's proposal
I think there was kissing going on here because I heard some panting but the mood lighting was a little too dim and I was intently focused on trying to see that little bit of Rob's chest peaking out.  I'm glad one of my favorite lines in the book made it in to this part
E:  "Bella would you stop trying to take your clothes off."
B: "Did you want to do that part?"

That line cracks me up every time! Can't blame Bella for getting caught up in the moment and wanting that fantasy played out on her first time.

Unfortunately one of the lines I hated most from the book got in there--that villian line. Uggh...I would have preferred Edward have used the "Isn't this supposed to be the other way around" line and Bella concurs that they are an unconventional couple.

#5 the pass off: A fiancee's sendoff
Even though she wasn't wearing the ring, I think Edward was a little more confident here and comfortable with the idea of Jacob running Bella up the mountain because she had already accepted his proposal and he was worried about the imminent danger looming, so he just gave her a sweet kiss on the forehead. But gawd I love those forehead kisses he gives out. Sign me up for one should I meet Rob in real life because no way is that breaking my marriage vows and he pours everything he's got into them and makes them look 200% more than just a soft peck on the forehead.

If you watch no other video today YOU MUST WATCH THIS ONE!!!
All the kisses are in here, plus this is eCLIPSe told from Edward's POV
(@1:58 The marriage-friendly kiss from Rob I'd want!)

#6 that other kiss
Did you not read that this post is just about Rob? I'm not talking about that kiss. We'll save that for the post when I open the can of Whoop-Ass on Eclipse--you had to know that was coming, right?

BRING IT Edward
One of my favorite parts was seeing Edward during the training scene with Carlisle. He was having fun and really into it.
I can't tell you what I loved more--that aggression Rob can display (like the fighting in Remember Me) or finally seeing a little lightheartedness from Edward like in the books.

Either way...I was a into it as Rob and way jealous of PFach!
